It’s only been 8 month’s since I lost someone, it doesn’t feel like it’s been that long....

So whenever I try to follow someone it tricks me into thinking it worked but then after I exit their profile it shows that I didn’t follow them.
          Has this happened to anyone else?

Update- I can access my profile again on the app but I still can’t follow
