Born and raised in Columbus, GA Shavekia has always loved to read and write. She is a 2004 graduate of Carver High School Magnet Program. She later studied at Columbus State University. She has spent the last 12 years in customer service work. In December 2016 she signed with Royalty Publishing House. Since then she has released 7 titles.

Shavekia spends her free time reading and writing. She is also a mother and a wife. She loves to travel and give back to her community. She volunteers with Reach for your Dreamz and with locals in the effort to end homelessness in the area.
