Shayla Rice was born in Greenville, Mississippi at the age of thirteen she moved to Toledo, Ohio where she currently lives now with her loving husband and four children. Shayla became a Christian at the age of eighteen years old. At that time she was a member of Greater Life Gospel Center in Toledo, Ohio.She is now currently a member of Life Chapel in Walbridge,Ohio.

 

Since then she have felt that her calling was to work with teens and young people. She has done a lot of volunteer work in her church working with teens and young people. She have also started small groups and mentor trouble teens and youth for over eighteen years. Shayla has always felt like she could relate to teens and youth that were having trouble times in their life because of the things that she went through as a young person. Whenever a young person needed someone to talk to they knew that she would be there for them.

 

Shayla felt like it was time for her to share her testimony to as many teenagers and young adult that she could reach so she decided to write her first book “Little Girl Lost.” This book talks about the struggles that she had with life as a young person and how GOD came into her life and change every thing around.
