Grief tips would be appreciated… I know it’s been a while since I’ve been on here. But I still have friends here, right? Anyways, a little over a week ago, my childhood dog died. She had to be put down for a number of reasons. Pancreatitis, tracheal collapse, enlarged heart, and a lung tumor that would inevitably grow and suffocate her. She would have died painfully if we let her go naturally, so we chose the peaceful, painless route of euthanasia. Still, I can’t stop second guessing my decision. I can’t stop thinking about her. It hurts so much and I’ve been crying every day. I don’t know what to do. She’s been with me for over 15 years. Before I even started this Wattpad account! I feel like I am drowning :(

I will say I have experienced loss before. My grandma, my uncle, my teacher… but I think this loss just feels so different because I saw my dog Mazie every single day for the past 15 years. My brain is glitching because my routine has been disrupted. I no longer hear her snoring down the hall, or whining for food. Sounds I used to think were annoying, but now, I’d give anything to hear them again. Rest in peace my sweet girl Mazie
