So… Can we talk about the “Jaafar as Michael” fics/imagines? I totally get it and I’m not here to offend anybody but I also don’t particularly like it

@starberrykiss Right? That’s exactly how I feel. Michael is Michael. I love Jaafar but no, don’t do that. We’re writing fanfic based on a real man, not the film adaptation of him.

@ShoamEmily It doesn’t make sense. You only see that stuff in fanfics that have a book to movie adaptation. People will use the actor as a face claim because they played that character. It’s just borderline confusing to apply that same concept for Jaafar and Michael. Usually in books you get a description of the character and learn about them over time, and if it makes to the big screen we can finally get a visual of them. We don’t need a visual of Michael because we know what he looks like, his mannerisms, his personality and more. We’ve seen it. To reiterate again, it’s just confusing n a lil redundant

I love that everyone’s like “trying not to fall back into my MJ obsession after seeing Michael” meanwhile it never ended for me since I was 13 (15 years strong).
          
          Finishing up my thesis tonight while watching the Bad tour. Doesn’t get any better than this ❤️
          
          School is done in literally less than a few hours
