Hey everyone,
I wanted to say something honestly before I continue updating the story.
After looking back at the first chapters, I realised they lack a certain depth I originally wanted them to have. There are many missing contexts, emotional layers, and details that I feel could have been explored much better. While writing, I often focused so much on scenes and dialogue that I forgot to fully slow down and let the emotions breathe properly.
This is my first serious writing project, and I know I still have a lot to learn. I’m not an experienced writer, and looking back now, I can clearly see places where the story feels emotionally empty or incomplete. But if I’m going to write something that truly matters to me, then I want to give it my full heart.
Because of that, I’ve decided to heavily rewrite and edit the chapters.
Some scenes will stay, some things may be removed entirely, and some new moments, details, and emotional context will be added. I want the story to feel fuller, more alive, and more meaningful than it currently does.
The edits are going to take some time, but I’m hoping to finish them as early as possible.
Thank you for reading, for being patient with me, and for giving this story a chance despite all its imperfections. I truly hope you’ll continue loving *Pyre and Petal* even after the changes.
