I write stories that put a Black woman at the centre of worlds that were never built for her.

In my stories you will find her in 1950s New York, in modern Seoul, in rooms full of men who have money, power and prejudice. There is romance, there is danger, there is obsession and there is always the question of what it means to be loved where you are not expected to belong.

My books are about love, danger, race and power and the cost of being seen in places where you are expected to be grateful for crumbs.
