Good afternoon. I just wanted to let you all know that I probably won't be posting again until the summer to focus on finishing this semester strong. I'm debating on taking down Growth until then, but I'm not sure yet. I'll let you guys know when I decide though.

Hey, guys! I know it's been a minute, but I just wanted to let you all know that I will be writing again in the new year. My plan is to bring back some of your favorite characters first and wait to do some of my new ideas. I don't plan on posting anything until late January or early February to give me some time to get things going.
          
          Also, I wanted to know if you guys were interested in reading a short story for the holidays. I'm thinking about letting you all suggest plots and I could choose one to do with my own little spin. Let me know how that sounds.

@desthepoet it's alright ❤️ you'll come back ten times better. Wait and watch, gather inspiration, and you'll get inspired. I've been there. Remove it if it's not what you've wanted, and you'll make it up with something amazing. 

I feel like I should be honest with you all about something. I've been procrastinating on finishing Ready or Not because I honestly do not like the story anymore. I want to finish it since it has a lot of readers, but there are so many things that need to be fixed. It hasn't turned out anything like I planned. I'm debating on discontinuing it and deleting it after a month. 
          
          I also want to take a break from writing on here. I don't enjoy it like I used to, and I don't want to publish half-assed stories. I need time to really develop my writing skills. I want to write stories that are thought provoking and meaninful, or at least entertaining while being realistic.
          
          I'm just not happy, and I don't plan on half-assing anything. The story will probably be taken down next month and I'll only be reading for a while. I apologize to those of you who enjoyed Ready or Not.

Have you guys ever read anything that changed a lot about how you think and want to express yourself? I just finished reading something (Playin' Hard by @wheadee) that embodies everything I want to do as an author. The characters were imperfect, making them human and relatable, the plot had an original flow to it, and the book itself addressed some serious issues that occur in the Black community as a whole. To be able to write something that is so opinionated, yet spilling some truth in between is hard to do. Overall, I wrote all this to say I'm inspired to do better and improve my craft day by day. Stay encouraged everyone.

So if you guys haven't noticed, I've been updating my new short story everyday. Tomorrow will be the last day for a while since there is only one chapter left. I'm thinking about doing an alternate ending, but I'm not sure how it would be yet. Anywho, don't be afraid to check this out while I try to work out the kinks in finishing Ready or Not.

          Also, I'm putting Ready or Not on hold for a little while. I haven't been writing it like I want to right now and it's frustrating me. I want to give y'all my best because this story could have been done a long time ago. I'm hoping that I can finish it soon and set a schedule to post consistently.
