@Silky9 - there is a slight stigma attached to wearing a purple helmet of course, particularly if you're a bloke. May I suggest a white helmet with purple design? =]

          They should make ladybird hard hats. It would make looking at rocks so much more fun.

@Silky9 - likin' the idea of the decorated hat, not sure I'd get away with it these days though. 
          I used to have a white one with red spots on it when I was a student. Made me look a bit like an inside out ladybird...
