╔
Seraphine Larkspur is a wandering bard whose greatest weapon has never been steel — it is her voice.
Born between two worlds, she learned early that understanding people is its own kind of magic.
Where warriors carry blades and mages wield arcane power, Seraphine carries stories — songs that soften tempers, spark courage, and remind people of who they are when anger clouds their judgment.
She travels the roads between kingdoms collecting stories the way others collect treasure.
And when tensions rise and voices grow sharp, Seraphine does what she does best:
She changes the mood of the room before blood is spilled.
⋆
Seraphine was born to a human performer and an elven traveller who passed briefly through a caravan of wandering entertainers.
Her childhood was spent on the road among musicians, dancers, poets, and storytellers. Lantern-lit nights around campfires were her classroom, and the roads between towns were her home.
From her elven heritage she inherited patience, keen perception, and a natural musicality. From her human side she inherited curiosity, warmth, and a restless spirit that refuses to stay in one place too long.
Growing up between cultures taught her something important: People fight most often when they feel misunderstood.
So she chose a different path than most adventurers.
Instead of a sword, she carries an instrument. Instead of armor, she carries stories.
Over the years she has quietly earned a reputation across the roads and taverns of many lands:
Not as the most famous bard.
But as the one people call when a room is on the verge of becoming a battlefield.

She is not a hero.
She is not a villain.
She is a woman who learned too early that survival requires perfection.
And now must learn — painfully, slowly — how to be human again.

VII. The Emotional Truth
Elowen Ashcombe is not cold.
She is exhausted.
She carries: the legacy of a fallen house, the expectations of a kingdom, and the quiet grief of a woman who was never allowed to be soft.
Her tragedy is not that she lacks love.
It is that she has never believed she deserved it without earning it first.

VI. Her Greatest Secret
Despite everything she achieved, Elowen believed one thing to her core:
If she stopped being useful, she would stop being loved.
So she:
- Never asked for help.
- Never admitted weakness.
- Never let herself fall apart in public.
She chose duty over happiness.
Stability over desire.
Control over vulnerability.
Even when it cost her: love, intimacy, and the life she might have had.
She became the woman everyone relied on.
And no one truly took care of.
