This will probably upset some, but after my break I’m gonna try and finish my Dinotrux concept. I’m still going to end up continuing to write the next chapter for RtP, but I’m going to try to put more focus into the concept to get that out
Found what I hope is the reason my eyes have been acting up. It’s a side effect of a medication I take, one I’ve been taking since the end of 24, sudden increase of blood sugar or pressure, no matter how healthy, can damage my eyesight. Hopefully it will heal. I’m not taking the medication anymore
Nearly 3k words on something new I’m working on. I’m sure that anyone who’s been reading my message board/httyd book will know what I’m talking about.
But the next RtP chapter will be delayed because of this, but in a way, what I’m currently working on can give me a different perspective on Cinder’s character.
I just feel like I had to let you guys know, even though I have no real obligation to. It’s just, I still really haven’t gotten too much better since December, my body… well I honestly don’t know what it’s doing to me anymore. But I’m pretty sure I’m good for now
What do you think of this?
I may try to have 2 episodes for each chapter instead of just one per chapter, this should allow me to quicken the pace of the story by a little bit, but not to the point where it could ruin the story. This way the chapters can still be around the same length or maybe even longer than I’ve ever done before
Letting everyone know that I’m going to slow down on my Ninjago fic. This hopefully means more updates for my httyd fic(s?) as I feel as I’m more passionate when writing it. This is a short version of what I wrote in the Ninjago chapter
Fuck. I need to write this fast before I forget but please tell me what you think.
I just watched a video of a httyd dragon killer au where hiccup chose to kill Toothless and bring his head to the village, my brain being as it is immediately thought of a scenario where the events at the beginning of the story was the same (dying, waking up as a dragon, training etc, maybe not yet mastering his plasma beam) but instead of the Dragon riders discovering dragons edge, it’s the dragon Hunters of Berk, or Drago (Hiccup joins him after eliminating every dragon near Berk with the queen being the only possible exception) with Hiccup in tow.
Of course Cinder would be shocked to his core, but being mostly dragon in mind, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill, especially since those he recognizes as the saviors of dragons are now the ones killing them. He would encounter Hiccup, who would immediately recognize Cinderwing as a Night Fury (as well as a possible Titanwing) and set his goal to hunt the orange striped dragon. And of course, Cinderwing being who he is would end up with Hiccup pinned to the ground under his claws, with the opportunity to use his a particularly unstable plasma beam (due to incomplete mastery) or just straight up snap his neck, but ends up leaving Hiccup alive due to his human side of his mind and memories of the dragon riders.
After fleeing the edge he would continue training, setting a goal to find Valka and/or the Defenders of the wing out of necessity. I feel like Oswald would be the same as he was, so Heather and Dagur would be the same, Heather probably being a bit more cold but still ends up finding a love for dragons and still having saved Windshear. (Which would honestly make this story a prime target for Cinderwing x Windshear or maybe even the Light Fury)
Please tell me what you think of this idea, because I may actually end up writing it one day (maybe even set up a template for the story sooner rather than later if you like the concept enough)

So I just remembered that I never gave Akira a name beyond what Arcturus had named her. I never thought about what a dragon like Firstbourne would have called her until now. I don’t want to give spoilers but I will say that she will encounter beings who know her original name.
I would like some small opinions on a name I came up with since I’m not too well with names. If anyone bothers to reply, (please do) is Silver-Fire a good name?
@FoulEncoder471 I’ll most likely change it to this, as Ultra is correct in that I often use the word silver when referring to Akira when not using her name
@SilverStorm8 For suggestions, maybe Ignatius. (Meaning fiery, not like Kai; based on her more serious and determined personality throughout the story)
@SilverStorm8 There good, just a bit too obvious. Those words are also said quite often so you'd kind of expect her to have a memory flash or something.

So I finally finished the next httyd chapter, but I don’t think I should upload it yet. That way I have some time to go over to check for errors or maybe even add some more to it.

I have also decided to upload a second preview for the next Ninjago chapter due to my sudden switch from working on it to the httyd chapter. Also because I have rewritten what was shown in that preview since
I'm almost done with the httyd chapter, I'm just having a little trouble with writing motivation. I know what I want to write but sometimes I just can't write it. Apparently there’s a rumor that Netflix will remove race to the edge in 2 years, I hope that it’s not true
@SilverStorm8 I understand perfectly, especially the part about writing the chapter while watching the episode!
I will still try to take some breaks, which I mainly do by playing games, but will try to take a break from writing for a day (…probably)
@MoonRUSh_ I also sometimes listen to music while writing, which does often help. But I usually have to use my mini-player to watch the episode for the chapter I’m working on as I write it, which doesn’t allow me to listen to music at the same time. (I watch the episode to see the gestures, to write the dialogue they speak that’s used in the subtitles, and what I hear them say that are not in the subtitles, as well as so I can describe the actions they take) which is one of the reasons my chapters are so long. (Not including the custom segments that stave off from the main story)
