So you think you can make a pro green fic? Personally I think canon rhaenyra is a b****, I mean she made practically all of her own decisions, she left halfway through her own tour to choose a husband which led to her marrying a man who couldn't give her children(which led to a civil war). I think she was the first royal who was given so much choice and freedom in who to marry. I mean alicent made bad choices and decisions but she was basically being controlled by her father. Though I will admit I have liked some iterations of rhaenyra, some authors have been able to change the character and make me like her. But I just don't like canon rhae, though I do sympathize with her when she loses Luke

What I meant by "own decisions" was that she made her own bad decisions while alicent was pressured into making them. Sure alicent could've risen against her father. But then again it's her father, Tyrion hated his father and even he couldn't rise against him. And tywin hated Tyrion and he couldn't kill Tyrion(for like a good 30 years at least)
