so i know that i said i'd soon be publishing an original, but I have been working on it for a while, and nothing is working, so I might scrap the story and start working on a new one, I have been struggling with it for so long! the concept is there, but I can't lead up to the part I have been wanting for the main part of the story, like, I've got the middle and end, and maybe even a prequel and sequel, but the actual story is so hard to get together the way I want it to be.
here's a draft (in the replys):

***author's note***
I do like the way it's being written, but it isn't the direction I want to take the story anymore, it's an early draft that I didn't like and couldn't figure out a chapter 2 to. There are loads more drafts that I can post if anyone wants them? if so, I'll put them together in one book where each chapter is the drafts of the story.

Allyssa explained in detail that she was going to sneak away from the palace, on a night where barely any guards would be stationed outside her bedroom window, then she would rush to the town square, a beautiful fountain that was often the starting point of love stories since the king and queen had met there long ago, and it was where Allyssa would meet with Simon, from there, Simon and Allyssa would go to the train station and sneak onto the last train of the day, and sneak off it before they reached the next town. And of course, she would be in disguise, not wanting her identity revealed before she even has a chance to experience the world, and find someone to marry who is good and true.
So, a few weeks later, at a party that raged on for hours into the late night, Allyssa excused herself to bed with all the grace she had. She grabbed a bag she had stashed and headed for her balcony, using her magick to float the bag to the gardens, then she leapt over, using the same spell on herself. When she was safe on the ground she grabber her bag and dashed through the gardens in an all black outfit so she wouldn’t be spotted as easily.
She reached the town square and slid behind the fountain to await Simon’s arrival.

She rushed home, calling upon Simon Grant, the youngest duke of Lelesari, and her best friend since birth, “Allyssa, what’s the matter, I came as soon as I heard,” Allyssa was sitting at her desk, writing like she’d gone mad, “Simon! Thank you for coming so quickly,” she got up and crossed the room in a matter of seconds, “I am planning on running away, not forever, just long enough to find someone I love to marry, and I need your help to do it,” she took Simon’s hands in her own, “will you help me?” Simon was taken aback, unsure if he should help the princess, soon to be queen, run away and find love, especially since she was about to married in less than a year, “why are you running away Lyssa, what is it about the man you are to marry that makes you wish to never marry him?” Allyssa sighed and clenched Simon’s hands a little tighter, “he wishes to turn Lelesari into a human kingdom, and he is cruel, and mean, and arrogant, and he believes me to be dumb as a box of rocks, he plots to take my kingdom and turn it as cruel as he,” Simon scowled at the news, his anger rising to a newfound height, much like Allyssa’s did when she heard Godrick say those things.
“I will help you, on one condition, you take me with you,” Allyssa nodded quickly, wanting nothing more than to leave and find someone who will rule the people as they are and not change absolutely everything about her kingdom, “yes, of course, thank you Simon!” She wrapped her arms around him tightly, eternally grateful for his assistance, Simon smiled and hugged her back, “what’s the plan Lyssa?”
