Omg I’m so sorry! I thought I responded to you smh. First I want to say I love your ideas❤️. I definitely wanted to go the “high school lovers” route but then I remembered I promised an age gap. I  also thought about Bey finding Onika (and Papa) in the system (I actually wrote this scene and deleted it sigh) but I’m trying to think of something more…surprising lol. Thank you sm for your amazing ideas❤️ School’s almost over so I’ll have more time to write, keep the ideas coming :)

@dehaanswrld so i was thinking since nicki was surprised that bey knew about the baby, maybe there were high school lovers, hence them knowing each other and possibly having a baby. nicki didn’t agree with bey becoming a police officer or they got into a big fight or something and they broke up. years go by,  bey becomes the police officer like she always wanted and nicki falls in with the wrong people and thats how she became a prostitute. Bey is driving by doing her rounds and she sees nicki out “working” which causes her to look her up in the system and find out about the baby. it came to me once i got to the end of the chapter.
