Okay, emergency writing help needed: if you were to write a screenplay abt teenagers in the 80s that work at a golf course, what would the main plot be? Preferably nothing romantic, there's enough sub-plots abt that

          In a co-ed friend group ,, it's much harder to say "I love you" to one of your boy -space- friends compared to one of your girl friends ???

!!!LIFE UPDATE!!!
          
          Okay, so my “kinda-sort-of-maybe-but-to-be-honest-I-also-don’t-think-I-know-the-meaning-of-this-word-plus-I’ve-known-him-for-my-whole-life” crush B came over to my house last night for dinner with his best friend C to hang out with my self-inflicted-temporarily-crippled brother, which, naturally, meant a lot of chess playing.
          
          And since it is apparently common knowledge that I play chess, guess who got roped into every. single. match?!
          
          Me!!
          
          My night went something like this:
          
          Lost to B.
          Lost to C.
          Won with B against C and my sister. {We did a chess teams round.}
          Lost with B against C and my brother.
          
          I guess the whole point in saying all of this is to mention that, umm . . . B and I had to hold hands TWICE last night!
          
          Once at dinner, you know, for like, a prayer before we ate.
          
          And then when I lost to him in chess, because this boy is such a good sport, I shook his hand as a GG.
          
          And here's the thing: I don't think B and I have ever held hands before.
          
          Like, I have genuinely been thinking about this ALL NIGHT, and I have zero recollection of us ever holding hands before last night.
          
          I feel like I don’t know . . . supper maybe not giddy, exactly, but definitely something about this development.
          
          Also, I lowkey got coached on how to do better at chess by this boy last night, which is honestly not helping my situation.
          
          And I really think I’m starting to become more and more convinced that I’m not crazy when I say I can often catch him looking at me with a slight smile.
          
          Like . . . I know what I’m seeing. Probably. Maybe. Potentially. We’ll ignore the fact that I am absolutely not an unbiased observer here.
          
          Oh! And while we were playing chess, he kept repeating the line, “Hey, don’t talk to—” or “Don’t distract my teammate. Let her think.”
          
          Little does my darling friend know that his words were way more distracting than anything else happening on the other side of the table where our current team to beat sat.
          
          So, yeah.
          
          That was my night.
