Hi everyone! I’m starting a vlog documenting my journey of moving out of home! My channel (link below) is called The Phase Shift.
I will hopefully have the first vlog up soon now that I have a tablet holder to help with filming things on my iPad. As of writing this I have two videos up, one is a book review for Atlas Shrugged, which was a test or practise, and the second video is me unboxing and talking about the tablet stand I bought.
The primary purpose of the channel will be to document and discuss everything relating to my moving out of home. So if you know anyone who is vision impaired or otherwise disabled, is in a problematic home environment and/or is considering moving out of home, please share it with them, or with anyone else who may be interested. I will be doing videos on other things too such as books, or whatever else I might decide to do a video on, and if anyone has ideas for videos, things you want to know about or you think might be helpful for people in my situation or similar to know, please tell me.
As an aside, if you do want to leave comments on the videos, please *don’t* call me Sinewave, as I am a bit sensitive about people IRL finding my Wattpad given that I had a bad experience with a family member looking at it and mocking me for my work. I will be sharing this channel with IRL people so there is a chance that person may find it. So call me Phase or Phase Shift or Phase Shifter or something along those lines if you wish to address me in the comments.

Had an idea for the vlog name:
The Phase Shift
(Or) Sanctuary Shift
For the non-mathematically-enlightened, the “phase shift” is a property of sinusoids *aka *sine waves*) whereby the graph is shifted horizontally. Hence, it relates to my handle without directly referencing it, and of course ties into my love of maths.
“Shift(ing)” also means moving, plus the purpose of the vlog is to document my transitioning into the nest *phase* of my life. So it is relevant and symbolic.
What are everyone’s thoughts on this?
@CosmicHowl that’s a fair point, because there were a ton of maths videos that came up when you search that, obviously. But at least it doesn’t seem to be taken by an existing channel or something else like a video game or movie (one idea I was initially considering was Sanctuary Saga, but i5 turned out there was a video game with that name).
@SinewaveSanctuary Phase Shift sounds cool, but my only concern is how it might be hard to search for your channel name.

Hi guys. As some of you may know I’m working on moving out of home within the next few months. This is a very big thing in my life, and something that *really* needs to happen. Therefore, I’m thinking about starting a vlog on YouTube (to document this journey, not only for myself and other connections, but for the sake of anyone else out there who is vision impaired/disabled, in an unhealthy home environment and/or moving out or looking into it.
Once I’ve moved I might even do other things like discussing books because I really like reading, or even potentially other things, whatever I want to do.
I need suggestions for a channel name, and here is where I run into a problem. I don’t want to use my real name because a, safety reasons and b, I don’t like my name. I don’t want to use SinewaveSanctuary either simply because my Wattpad account goes by the same name and I’m kinda iffy about certain people in my real life finding my Wattpad given that they previously mocked me for it years ago when I used a different name. If it weren’t for this I would use that because my handle has a personal significance and couldn’t be more relevant in this circumstances.
So, does anyone have any ideas? “The Sanctuary” is fitting but sounds kinda generic, so maybe some variant on that?

Not making any promises but let’s hope for the best. I’m still grieving over this beautiful RP that I lost. I think the reason it left such an impression and why I fought so hard to keep the other person was because of the emotional nourishment, for want of a better word, in their replies, which I do not get in real life. Their writing style is so beautiful and they were clearly skilled as a writer and it just resonated with me.
