My desire to write springs from a life-long passion for reading and personal experience with people across a broad spectrum of race, culture, and belief systems - people who showed me that every life has a great story. As an RN, my knowledge base encompasses science, medical technology, and the process of death and dying, all of which inform my plots. Over the years I've dabbled in poetry, short stories, and essays which prompted me to create a personal blog where I could self-publish my work: Permission to Think Freely - Random Thoughts on Pop Culture, Past & Present. I have also been active in the Writer's Alliance of Gainesville, attending critique pods and author events. More recently, I ghost wrote web content for Writers Access. My story, Original Sin, was published by Schlock! Webzine and I have written similarly themed short stories which I hope to publish as a book.
