Hello, Readers.
My name is Siya Sondlo. A proud Xhosa, South African young woman from the Eastern Cape.
I am passionate of writing for two reasons: it always serves a purpose and you get to escape reality for a while and experience the life in another person's shoes which increases your empathy levels.
Please like my page on Facebook. Feel free to also interact with me and send me any questions you may have: https://www.facebook.com/BlackSunflowerSA/
I am a psychology student in a private high education institute and look ing forward to completing my studies.
The topics I am most passionate about all fall under mental health. I also try to write from a Black African perspective, material I would have loved reading. Representation matters to me. Each culture and race should have equal representations.
Also, I am honestly tired of Africa being portrayed as an island. We are as terrified of lions as you are, that is why they are kept in animal parks and locked up, kilometers away from civilazation.
South Africa is beautiful and the world needs to hear our stories. We have watched enough of theirs.
