Heyo there!

I was honestly wondering when the first question about whether I use AI or not would come up, especially since nowadays it has become hard to tell whether someone is using AI or not. Authors are being accused/questioned, or readers are simply very confused at the moment because, in the end, AI was trained on our work.

To answer you in simple terms: no, I do not use AI in my writing.

I write every day, both for work and for roleplay in World of Warcraft, and I was already published by a publishing house in Italy (without paying 1 Euro) long before generative AI became a thing, back in 2015. With that book, I placed 6th in a national contest, for which I still have the certificate on my bookshelf next to the first copy of my book. Out of pure curiosity, I once put part of that old manuscript, roughly 20k words, through several AI detectors, and the score always came back anywhere between 44% and 80% AI. I also attended a writing school in Milan, which included journalism, for an intensive two-year course, and many of the structures AI uses now were simply considered normal back then.

Honestly, I agree with the person who first raised the question. It is sad to see how many works are written with AI, and I am also struggling to find something genuine to fully immerse myself in here in Wattpad. Personally (and unfortunately), precisely because people now recognise certain standard grammatical structures as "AI-fabricated," I have had to cut them down A LOT, and that is honestly a shame.

My writing process is actually very simple. I write my draft, then spend several days translating it, asking feedback from different native speakers on Discord to understand whether my translations make logical sense. One of them is a saint who helped me write chapters 9 to 11, which for me felt like giving birth to triplets.

For vocabulary and synonyms, I use services like Thesaurus and similar tools. I have always loved complex words because I come from a text-based roleplay background, and I lived through the rise of the internet with all those medieval chat-based RPGs, so I am absolutely a daughter of purple prose. My tutor used to get furious whenever I brought him my drafts, and you have no idea how many pages he made me rewrite…

What I can tell you is that I use Grammarly to check punctuation! Italian and English punctuation are similar, but not quite the same, and even though I’ve studied English since middle school (and I’m now getting close to 40 xD), I sometimes forget that certain sentence structures in English do or do not require a comma, for example. I also love ; and :, and that tool helps keep my obsession in check >_> Oh! And of course, Grammarly is set to British English because I’m never sure if a word I write instinctively is in its British form. For instance, it’s pretty easy to find both “realise” and “realize” scattered throughout my texts. I try to catch all these little nuances, but it’s honestly difficult y.y

I had noticed the structure of the introductory text before, but after much doubt and hesitation, I decided not to change it because, in the end, I have nothing to hide. :>

That said, in times like these, the doubt exists, and it will always exist. Instead, I am grateful for the human approach that reader used in their message, and I wish all of you a fantastic evening <3

Hi, little flip-flops marinated in piña colada!

Yes yes, I know, I haven’t updated in a while, but don’t worry. This stretch between spring and summer tends to be absurdly claustrophobic at work, and they’re basically draining the blood straight from my veins; yada yada, that kind of thing.

Fortunately for all of us, I already know what needs to happen in the next chapters. I just need to recover the brain juice my boss is very efficiently abusing so I can make my way back to our beloved Chief Justice; who, just to be perfectly clear, I miss an unreasonable amount and very much need in my life <-> …and maybe also figure out whether our MC is actually going to survive the spectacular mess she’s gotten herself into.

I’m asking for a little patience and a little love \o/ LOB U ALL!

InkyTheJester

Patience is my middle name lol I also miss this book and its story so I’m excited for when the new chapter drops:3(no rush take your time)

Hi my little sparkling spaceships en route to the moon (just to stay on theme with the current events xD)

Just a quick update: Chapter 26 of Bound is currently in the editing phase. It’s giving me quite a few headaches (because when has anything I write on a first draft ever been even remotely readable or translatable into English?), but I’m hoping to have it ready for you in a few days :>

Other than that, I just wanted to thank you all for your constant support, and to welcome the new readers who’ve joined our little gang over the past chapters!

This said, keep your fingers crossed and hold my hand, the great editing monster is very scary >:/

Hi, little bruschettas with cherry tomatoes and parsley!

I just wanted to let you know that Chapter 25 of Bound is currently in the editing phase. It took me a while because, I’ll admit it, the moment Neuvillette finally came home, I focused on having fun and enjoying him after a whole year of waiting and initial farming. Then, well, my birthday (it went great, thanks for the wishes!), work got in the way, and the World of Warcraft pre-patch dropped, with the Midnight expansion right around the corner… all in all, a pretty thorny lineup that kept me away from Google Docs for weeks, lol.

Don’t worry, though. I’m perfectly alive, and you should get an update hopefully by the end of next week—or, if later than that, at the very latest the week after.

          Talk to you soon!

Skullcandister

@Lady_Rosa It’s not so much a matter of working too much, as it is wanting to write about this fantastic man and finding myself butting heads with translating everything I want to write into English xD If this fanfic were in Italian it would be muuuuch easier!

Hey Babblings!

Chapter 21 of Bound is written, but the little ba***rd still doesn’t quite convince me—probably because I wrote most of it past midnight. Long story short, it still needs a bit of love and, most likely, a generous amount of swearing.

So please be patient with me; I should be able to publish it in the next few days >:/ *insert internal screaming*

Skullcandister

 Heyooo bablings :>

Chapter 19 is officially live, and ooooh boy — what a trauma it was to write it properly ‍

Chapter 20 is already in the works, and honestly? I’m not sure you're ready for it.
On this emotional rollercoaster, our dear protagonist is about to make a socially unhinged decision, and as for our beloved Neuvillette... well. Let’s just say he’ll have no idea which way is up anymore >:)

Were you hoping for a bit of emotional payoff? Good. Grab your chocolate and put your trust in my evil little fingers ✨

Thank you all for the love, the support, the chaos, and for screaming with me You're the best.
