!!! Just want to address, in my view, a common problem (I hope someone reads it)
I'm telling everyone this because people really love to write to the point that it is their safe place and it's their comfort zone.
Some people have 'high' expectations about a book. It's all right to comment on a particular chapter. Whether you are reacting to a certain part in the chapter with foul words or whatever, as long as it doesn't hurt or discourage the writer.
I know that we are not all the same...
But sometimes, you don't have to say EVERYTHING that is on your mind. Some words need to be kept just for yourself. Because there are a lot of people that are sensitive that you don't know that they are.
As a reader, I get it. We got a different taste of what plots we like but leaving unnecessary comments is a no for me. Even if I'm someone who doesn't comment, it's very unnecessary.
As a writer for quite some time, I've faced this problem MANY times. If you didn't like the characters, it's fine. If you don't like the entire plot, it's fine. But lashing out at the book with terrible words or making of their mistakes is unacceptable.
Motivating yourself to write a chapter is very hard for a writer so if you got nothing good to say (I hope you know what I mean), keep it to yourself.
For writers who are experiencing the same thing as me, puppy huggies for you~! :)
