            a really bad thunderstorm a few years ago approached from the east, getting stuck on the mountains, so it dumped rain on us for hours and hours, we had tornadoes in the area, watches and warnings... then later that summer (i think) a bad hail storm hit and broke the basement window... and while traveling we got caught near the Illinois/Nebraska line under a tornado warning in a hotel, the wall cloud was just beautiful
            
            as destructive as it is, i love weather, i grew up with thunderstorms so they're special to me
