Hi everyone, 
          
          I have a quick question to ask. It’s more like a poll but oh well. 
          
          I’m beginning the process of re-writing July Above as I have said I would do because I felt the story wasn’t up to my standards lol. I was thinking of maybe scrapping the whole plot and starting fresh but I wanted to see how you all felt about that. 
          
          So, should I keep the same plot and characters just give the story a revamp or should I scrap everything, start over and give you all a brand new Jack story? 
          
          I’m open to both I just wanted to check in before deleting the whole thing and starting fresh. I would appreciate anyone’s input if they see this and feel like weighing in!

          Okay I wasn’t going to come back on here but I just had to say…
          
          BAD IDEA HIT 100K READS!!! 
          
          Never did I ever think this would happen. When I first wrote that story it was just a creative outlet, a way to write out all the ideas in my head but look at where we are now. 
          
          It’s all thanks to you guys. I can’t express how much I love and appreciate you all, this is a dream come true! A dream I didn’t have at first but one I’m so excited to have accomplished!

          It’s me again. 
          
          I’m sorry, I feel like one of those old timey newspaper boys where I stand on a crate and shout at the crowd lol
          
          Anyways. I haven’t gotten a peep back about getting my book taken down so I’m beginning to feel a tad helpless on that front. I will keep trying but I don’t know if or when it will happen. 
          
          In the meantime because I don’t want you all to feel punished I’m going to be re-publishing all my stories back on here. This is the only place you can find them, I love wattpad and the opportunity it has given me to create so I won’t be publishing them anywhere else. 
          
          Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your patience, understanding, support, and kindness. You guys turned this sad moment into something with a little bit of positivity! 
          
          Last but not least I have been busy while I was waiting to hear back. There may or may not be another story coming soon hehe!!

Hi again. 
          
          I just wanted to come on here and say that I have contacted the necessary people to try and get that stolen story taken down. I want to thank you all for your advice it is very appreciated. I don’t know how long it’s going to take but I am trying.
          
          I also wanted to deeply apologize for the sudden removal of my books but seeing that someone has stolen my work and is using it for profit has completely broken my heart. I feel terrible that some of you didn’t get to finish the book but I promise I’ll make it up to you, all I ask is that you are patient! 
          
          My stories aren’t the best quality, I know, I mean I wrote about my favorite hockey players and some badass fictional women, but I put so much thought and love into these characters and their stories and I just couldn’t believe someone would try and take that away from me. My brain was frazzled and I didn’t know what else to do, it was also really late at night but I’ve spent the day thinking about what to do next and I feel a bit better. 
          
          As soon as this issue is resolved I will be publishing my stories once again. This is not the end of me and my mediocre writing
          
          Anyways, I’ll shut up now but lastly I wanted to thank everyone. Your kind words, support, understanding, and words of advice have helped me break through the haze of anxiety about this whole situation. 
          
          If you hadn’t brought it to my attention I would have never known so thank you for that as well. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all of you. I may have shed a tear or two reading your words. 
          
          This is most likely my last update until I have my story back but until then please don’t forget about me and the Hughes women we all love so much, they WILL be back. I promise to keep everyone updated.

Ugh I hate this has happened. A few authors who have experienced this created private Facebook groups.  This gives some control of who has access to the stories and allows them to continue their stories.

Oh no i was reading July above  I didn’t get to know what he did. Do you know if you gonna have them up elsewhere?

Hi everyone, 
          
          It has come to my attention that someone has stolen my book and is using it for profit. I just have no words to explain how sad this is. 
          
          I don’t know how this happened and I don’t know what to do about it. I started writing stories as a creative outlet and I never imagined people would read my books let alone use them for their horrible selfish agendas without asking me for permission. 
          
          At this point I think I’m just going to delete my stories and remember the good times I had when wrote them and the feelings of joy I got from watching you all love them. 
          
          I don’t know what else to do. I don’t want to make a big fuss because at the end of the day these are silly stories I wrote about some hockey players I love and I never intended for this to happen. Nor do I want this to be the end I’m just at a loss right now. 
          
          For everyone that read them and loved them, thank you. From the bottom of my heart you brought me so much joy and confidence. I loved every second of having my books out in the world but now I just want to remove them to ensure nobody else can get their hands on them. 
          
          I’m sorry that it has come down to this. Maybe i’ll write more in the future but for now I just wanted to send a thank you to EVERYONE who has supported me. Your words of advice, encouragement, and love on my books has turned me into a much better author.

Hey your book July Above is being promoted on fb by a pay to read book that steals books from Wattpad and kindle. They charge outrageous fees to read books and font contract with authors. Wattpad should help you send them a DCMA to get it taken down.
