Another year has passed in our lifetime. Another grain of sand fallen within the hourglass. Another year that came and went. Another year slipped by.
          What is the purpose of the celebration? A gathering to promises that fail to come? 
          I do not know the purpose, when many simply keep failing such.
          I lie - I know why.
          I just have no use with it myself for I find it lacks such a meaning.
          
          We celebrate a year lost, yet we celebrate memories that have passed.
          We celebrate the life that is and once was.
