@smellslikeateennerd notice I said your character, not you (ignore you're, my phone is dumb) and no matter how the authors purpose her characters are perpetuating slut shaming and double standards to impressionable young readers. It's foolish to get angry about the double standard your protagonist,  as well as almost every other protagonist on this site if we're being honest, is herself practicing and promoting.

@charleigh_asher honestly I didn't think of that but I do get that it does demonstrate double standards and is not a good example although it is a good reflection of reality where in actual fact that happens a lot and it should stop so I'm not disagreeing with you but I don't see why it should be shielded rather than depicted and explained in a way to try and stop the double standards.
