SPAM WARNING: If you recieve a message saying "Wow! Fantastic writing. I was completely amazed. Love your story *insert story name here*, the plot and characters are just fascinating. Absolutely desire to read more. Do you mind if I ask something?" then it's a bot that tries to recruit writers for the app AnyStories.
AnyStories IS a legitimate app but what they will offer you is for your story to be published on their app in return for payment. The following messages will insert a name into an automated reply to make it seem like you're talking to a person who is part of a group of "young entrepreneurs". If you sign a contract with AnyStories, you are not able to publish your story to any other site and they expect you to keep up with a gruelling writing schedule. It's also a very expensive app too, making readers pay with real money to read every chapter (as the only way to get free in-app currency is by inviting people to the app). It's also against the T&C's of Wattpad to try and recruit writers for other platforms.
Ultimately the choice is yours. But make sure you DO YOUR RESEARCH. There are plenty other bits and bobs in the contract that are questionable and kinda exploitative of both the writers and readers. Additionally, it will mean people have to pay to read your story. Finally, think about what kind of service it is that it feels the need to deceive you about not only reading your story, but also tries to make you think you're talking to an actual person.
