Well, I just noticed that Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 Oneshots hit 6k views.... 10 chapters. 3 years of writing. 70 votes. I'd never thought that my dumb little fic would have ever gotten this popular, or even just hit 100 views.
Originally, the story was written just so me and my sibling could get a big laugh out of one of our favorite games, coming up with the idea of the characters goofing around with dumb storylines one day, when we were at our aunt's house to spend a day our family, and talking about it in the car on the way to get ice cream before going home. For a while, we strongly had the idea of Schezo, Lemres, and Dark Prince being the trio to center around, thinking of them getting into wacky situations just cause. It then turned into an idea of the other characters joining in on the fun. And then it hit me; I should write and upload this.
That's basically the gist of the origins of why the story was created, and what happened for it to culminate this way. Even now my sibling still helps me proof read the oneshots... usually after I post them and catch some mistakes. Hah, that's the way it goes sometimes. We also still brainstorm dumb ideas, though usually I take creative liberties or come up with ideas myself, and I can say that I'm proud of what I've written so far. A huge shoutout goes to my sibling for being a big help and convincing me to write and upload these silly oneshots.
So where does this leave the story? Considering that I'm now also writing oneshots for my otp, yes, progress has been slow on writing the next oneshot. Of course, this doesn't mean I'm giving up on the PPT2 oneshots, even with my interest shifts. It may take me a week, month, or year to write and upload the next oneshot, but you can bet that this story isn't going away for a long time. As long as I can write, PPT2 oneshots will be written. You can count on that.
