♡ I am female.
♡ (This is only my opinion so no hate) I really dislike reader/author/oc inserts. I honestly feel they just inserted the characters for wish fulfillment.
♡ (Again, this is only my opinion so no hate) I dislike excessive OOC-ness. I don't mind when it is unintentional or when the character is meant to be OOC, but when the author seriously thinks that this is how the character acts to the point it's not even the same character, then I'm honestly questioning whether the author/creator actually watched the anime/original source material... One example of questionable OOC-ness is when authors try writing about Akashi Seijuro from Kuroko no Basket. Akashi is a very deep character with an emotional backstory, yet he's somehow characterized into some demonic, scissor-wielding psycho (actually no joke, that is literally just his character in these types of fanfics...)
♡ On a less critical note, I prefer more friendship type fanfics rather than romance ones. I just love the fluffiness that comes with the anime characters' friendships. Not to mention, I'm not really as invested in shipping as most people are. Not to say that I don't ship characters at all (because I totally do), but I mostly just ship for the character interactions, not the romance.
♡ I may start a book, but for now I'm just going to be enjoying other people's works of art!
