I am really desperate here and just want some clarity for myself.
I read a book some time ago and I lost it.
I hope its okay to post this here but I hoped maybe one of you knows it, cause u read similar stuff. Here is what I remember or think I remember.
I think it was the fourth part of a series. It was a male x male x male romance (polyamorous) involving three gods from the same pantheon (not Greek, but other mythologies like Osiris, Zeus, and Loki were referenced in the universe).
Here’s what I remember:
• The main character is the god of the underworld. In the earlier books, he was portrayed as the villain.
• In this book, he’s being held in the home of the two male leads, who are already a couple. One is the sun god, the other the ruler of the pantheon.
• The underworld god believes he’s going to be killed by them, because he owns an object that predicts his death.
• When he dies, he returns to his own realm, and he’s terrified of that happening. His actions in the past were partly attempts to prevent that death.
• Over time, he begins to trust the two, but lives in fear and anxiety as the predicted day draws closer.
• He almost dies and accepts it as inevitable, but is saved by one of the MLs.
• Later, he goes to Zeus and dies, believing it’s the only way out – possibly hinting at suicidal tendencies (not actively wanting to die, but seeing death as a solution).
• He spends some time in his realm before being brought back to life and returns to live with the other two.
• In the end, misunderstandings get cleared up, including the truth about his first death, and he ends up in a relationship with both of them.
I can’t remember the title or author, but I think it might have had a title something like “Scarred God” or similar.
