I love soccer, it's my first love. It may not be everything, but it's right up there with oxygen. It means the world and everything to me.

I have a slight obsession with reading. I can't go a day without reading something. A book never turns it's back on you. They've always been there for me, even when no one else was and they've taught me some of the most important lessons I'll ever know.

No matter how strong, weak, busy, lazy  the girl is… she is still a girl. don’t be fooled by her wall, she’s waiting for you to break it down and hold her hand. but if you stand idle, she may think she’s not worth your time, and turn away.

Here’s to the kids who try their hardest to be good enough for everyone; who spend hours reading random quotes to find the right one; who listen to the same song dozens of times because the lyrics mean a lot; who deserve so much more than they get and are willing to fight for it; and whose wish upon a shooting star was wasted on someone that will never care.

This is for the girls with hidden freckles and dimples. This is for the girls that will burst out laughing in dead silence at something that happened, yesterday. This is for the girls who are daughters and sisters, grand-daughters and nieces. For the young girls and the grown women; the girls who are confident and scared, terrified and excited.
