When it comes to pacing, I’m not sure if I give perfect advice but I’ll share what works for me! One thing I do is sketch out a general flow of the story—like a graph or outline—just to keep the pacing smooth and avoid rushing things too early. It helps me figure out where I want big scenes or slower emotional moments to happen.
After that, I usually reread the story and check if certain scenes feel too rushed or if they need more buildup or dialogue. Sometimes even reading other books/stories helps me get a better feel for how pacing works naturally.
