I chose Solastalgiaxzs as my pen name because it's derived from one of my favorite words: solastalgia. It means the grief of a changing home or planet. I'm afraid of change-people change, cities change, and I change. It's that specific ache of watching something familiar become strange. That's where my nickname comes from. I chose Solace because I want to be my personal soothing haven. Someone to embrace and comfort me while everything and everyone-even me-changes. I also want to offer my solace to you: to comfort and accept you.
I chose Solidaires for my readers and supporters because it means "united" and "supportive." You are the people who stand with me while things shift and grow. When I say "I'm a solid Solidaire" or "We're solid Solidaires," it means we're in this together. You don't just read my work-you hold space for it, and for me, through every change. You are my Solidarity: the reason Solace exists at all.
