I'll read anything good, but my fav genres are fantasy and sci-fi. I particularly enjoy novels with interesting philosophical or psychological concepts, and books that are character-driven (with a bit of humour - constant darkness can be wearisome).

A few of my favourites are:

The Chronicles of Narnia, 
His Dark Materials trilogy {Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass}, 
The Book of Dust,
the Inheritance Cycle {Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, Inheritance}, 
the Silver Brumby series, 
Pegasus, 
the Warriors series, 
Wings of Fire, 
The Keepers trilogy,
all of Rick Riordan's books {can't be bothered naming them all}, 
Call of the Wild and White Fang, 
and many, many more. (I've forgotten a lot, but these are the ones that I can remember off the top of my head)
