I have no words.
I just listened to The Ithaca Saga, and let me tell you, the little motifs Jorge stuck in there just fit so well-
Like in ‘I Can’t Help But Wonder’ there’s a part where he put in the harp chords from ‘Just A Man’, and Athena’s little synth-y thing when she showed up. The Ithaca Saga is also so much darker than the other ones, and I fully expected for Penelope to not fall in love with Odysseus again. The amount of emotions this made me feel, I just love it too much.
And another thing. Jorge wrote the music for Epic so well, that I find it nearly impossible to crank out so many bangers in a row. So this is a public ‘Thank You’ to Jorge Jay Rivera-Herrans. This is a thank you for sticking with this project for years, and changing so many lives with it. I can think of a lot of people who practically lived for this musical, and I sorta did too. Thank you.
