          Katherina wanted to prove that she can live normally and happily with friends and love and the Darkness in her life.
          
          However, Katherina began too caring and loved too much that when thinking Ziv had died, she did swell.  When it was reveled that Ziv was indeed alive, and the Darkness  had betrayed her, her emotions swirled to chaos. Like with Feyre and the fact that she never used her powers so she was slowly losing her mind. The same was happening with Katherina, however she needed a trigger to tip the scale and let her power overflow. 
          
          However, since her true power had been locked so long, it was wild and untamed that it killed everything for miles around her. Causing the death of Katherina's "Inner circle." 
          
           Katherina didn't think it fair how she tried so hard, to be good and not become her Mother. So she ordered the Darkness to capture all the High Lords and Lady, including their mates and family and make them watch as she stripped everything from them. 
          
          Katherina wants them to feel her pain and angst. Making her a merciless ruler and an even worst queen like her Mother because she wan't just angry, she was broken and sad. 
          
          I was inspired to write this book in the first place by listening to the song, "The curse of the Sad Mummy" by League of Legends. And I chose Katherina's name by Katherine from the Vampire Diaries. Both a survivor and who ran from fate only to be caught by destiny. 
          
           if you have anymore  questions I'd happily answer! I've been giving out spoilers for a nearby future in my other Fanfiction, "The Son of Night & Spring," where what if Feyre and Tamlin had a son before she had met Rhysand, that Lotus and Katherina will meet. And it will be then she will ask him the question of whether he will be like his Father or like his Mother. 
          
          Which path would he chose? The one Katherina did, or the one he will?

@venusandvirtues  I'm so thrilled that you loved "My Darling Katherina." I'm absolutely writing that on a sticky note and post it on my wall :) You perviously made a comment on needing a summary of the whole story so I got you! 
          
          Katherina is the Daughter of Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court and Amarantha, High Queen of Prythian. 
          
          Over the years, (About eleven) Katherina grew up in a cell under her parents bedroom, where Amarantha tortured and abused her and hated Katherina because she was born with power, the same one Amarantha had stolen from the High Lords. In any case scenario, Katherina can overpower her so Amarantha had weakened her and made believe Katherina that it was her way of showing love and attention. 
          
          
          Katherina both hated and loved her mother and always craved to know her father. So, one day she manages to escape her cell and wonder around for the first time. Touching, seeing, hearing new and unrecognizable things. 
          
          After seeing her Mothers death and her Father's face for the very first time, realization dawns to her that if anyone realized that a part or blood of Amarantha was alive, they'd come and kill her so she ran away and met the Darkness who took care and watched over her. Eventually growing to love her and over the years, they travel to many different courts and meeting first Ziv of Winter, Thea and Hemera of Day, Sahar of Dawn and Caldor of Night.
