Hey everyone, quick update on my posting schedule. I’m going to hold off on publishing any new chapters for the next two weeks while I wait to see what’s going on with Wattpad’s new guidelines.
Honestly, a lot of the new rules make sense on paper. But the way they’re enforcing them is what irks me. Deleting people's stories out of nowhere without even sending an email or giving them a chance to back up their work is unfair. Not everyone drafts in Google Docs—plenty of writers work straight in the app, and losing all that effort overnight is brutal.
It also feels like Wattpad is getting way too strict, especially with fanfic writers who basically built this platform. Walking on eggshells just to post a chapter isn't fun for anyone.
It may not affect me or anyone at all, but you can never be too careful.
So see you all in two weeks, imma take the time to back up my stuff and see how things settle down. Thanks for sticking with me, and I’ll keep you guys updated!

Just wanted to put a reminder here it’s a lie, the guidelines have been here for 10 years. A lot of misinformation is coming from ppl who don’t even use wattpad. Don’t let the fear monger get to you, especially if your fic doesn’t violate the guidelines which I highly doubt it does (pwp) back up ur fic tho if you must! They’re not just now enforcing them they’ve always enforced them and if you see a story or author gone it’s likely cause their story violated the guidelines which are clear cut or they deactivated their account /unpublished story and just didn’t tell anyone

thank god wattpad is fixed. They are so lucky that I write all my work on Google Docs cause them crashing randomly seems to happen once a month (I dunno; I don't get maintenance updates anymore since im using wattpad browser)

alright, working on some stories, gonna be a bit since I been while since I wrote been busy IRL, so doing some reading to make sure the plot and ideas I written are not forgotten
