Is it a bad idea to put a very cliché 'powers reveal' into the fourth chapter of a book? Maybe. 
          
          Is it a bad idea to procrastinate for months because of character development? Yes.
          
          Is it a bad idea to start writing again when I don't have any idea what will go in the middle? Yes.
          
          Am I still going to do all of the above anyway? Yes.
