Original Rwby Character Design Process:
- Find a mythical/historical/fairy tale figure to base the character off of (Loosely or not but still keeping at least some original spin)
- Anime-ify them and change their name to where it’s barely different or no where close
- Pick a basic anime trope personality to try and develop into more in the future
New Rwby Character Design Process:
- Find a mythical/historical/fairy tale figure to base the character off of (Loosely or not but make sure the original spin you put on them is progressive or just skip this process)
- Anime-ify them and don’t worry much about changing their name at all and then see what LGBTQ+ thing you can ham-fist in their to get that internet clout (only once have I seen them do this in a way that wasn’t obvious clout chasing)
- Pick a personality from self-righteous twitter to develop the other characters into self-righteous twitter personas
- Complain about backlash and call critics forms of slurs and derogatory terms but it’s ok because they just aren’t “woke”
Fanfic Rwby Character Design Process:
- Find a mythical/historical/fairy tale figure to base the character off o- NAH!!! pick some random already made character, a basic isekai cardboard protagonist, a rare and unique specimen of a character (you’ll see this like twice in your entire time on here), and then find random family to abuse them (especially the Rose/Xiao Long Family as we’ve seen they’re such a terrible and abusive family)
- Depending on choice in step 1, make the pre-made character a worse version of themselves, cardboard isekai protagonist is what they are probably make them crazy OP except for in moments they aren’t with no regard for sense (just like the show itself later on in all honest), develop this beautiful rare specimen into a further more unique character, make edgy as shit and use as excuse to make all crimes they commit okay
- Compain about how no one likes your OC just because they’re isn’t as good
