My name is Manny and I've been a bibliophile pretty much since the first day I learned how to read on my own. My two favorite authors are Edgar Allan Poe and JRR Tolkien because they were the biggest influences on me since the third grade. They have shaped me into the reader and now writer that I am today. I've collected books since I was a kid and now as an adult I am a legit book collector in search of first editions and rare books. I have been appreciating books from the sidelines strictly as a reader all of my life until last year. I had a really cool idea with a great ending for a story but instead of describing my idea to an actual writer I figured I'd try it myself to see how it would come out. So far, I've gotten a very positive response to my story. That story is the short story that I have uploaded to this site. I'm actually starting a new short story as we speak and like they say, when it rains it pours because I am getting a lot of ideas now that the well is open.
