lilu had endured a long and tiring/exhausting day in purgatory, in addition to this, he had not been sleeping well as of late, he was also struggling mentally, emotionally, & such. the raven haired demon was in a vulnerable and exhausted state. during the day, lilu had been injured, however, it was nothing too serious. though, he was afflicted with/by an awful migraine. the sovereign of purgatory would soon teleport to earth, making his way to his lovers nightclub, lux, by means of flight.
when the night demon arrived at lux, he walked over to the elevator and headed up to lucifer’s apartment, a shaky exhale leaving his form. the elevator soon reached its destination, the door sliding open. lilu stepped into the penthouse, amber eyes searching for lucifer.
upon seeing his lover relaxing on the couch, lilu approached, gazing upon lucifer with a tired smile. his gaze soon lowered to the other man’s lap, before he looked at his lover once more, silently asking for permission to sit there or to be brought into lucifer’s arms, he wished to be held, he wished to be close to the fallen angel that he loved, to the fallen angel that loved him.

His fingers moved slowly along Lilu’s back, soothing rather than demanding, his thumb occasionally brushing against the fabric of his clothes. Lucifer knew that particular look. He knew when Lilu came to him because he wanted something. And he knew when Lilu came to him because he simply needed somewhere safe enough to stop pretending that he was fine. Tonight was rather obviously the latter. His eyes narrowed slightly as he studied him.
“Don’t bother telling me you’re fine,” he murmured. “You’re dreadful at lying to me, and I’m rather fond of you. Which means I’ve become annoyingly good at noticing these things” a faint smile appeared “besides, you’ve already made your intentions perfectly clear” Lucifer tightened his arms around him, resting his cheek briefly against Lilu’s hair.
“You wanted to be held” a pause “so that’s precisely what you’re going to get” his voice dropped into something softer, almost reverent “no questions. No obligations” his hand continued its slow movement over Lilu’s back “just you” Lucifer tilted his head, pressing another gentle kiss against his temple “and me.”
For once, there was no performance in him. No Devil’s grin. No clever remark waiting to deflect whatever vulnerability might surface. Only Lucifer, holding the man he loved “stay as long as you need, darling.”

《 @sovereignofpurgatory 》 Lucifer had been lounging across the sofa with all the apparent ease of a man who had absolutely nothing weighing on his mind. One arm rested along the back of the couch, a glass of whiskey balanced loosely in his other hand, some forgotten record playing softly through the penthouse. He noticed Lilu the moment the elevator doors opened. The glass stopped halfway to his lips. Lucifer’s gaze swept over his lover almost instinctively, taking in the tired smile, the faint tension around his eyes, the way he carried himself as though simply remaining upright required considerably more effort than he cared to admit. His expression softened. “Well, hello, darling.” The usual teasing lilt remained in his voice, but there was something quieter underneath it. He set the glass down on the table without another thought. Then he caught Lilu’s gaze dropping toward his lap. A small, knowing smile tugged at Lucifer’s lips. “Oh” he opened his arms “come here” there was no hesitation in the invitation. Lucifer shifted farther back against the cushions, making room before reaching for him. One hand settled gently at Lilu’s waist, guiding him down onto his lap while the other slipped around his back, drawing him securely against his chest. The moment Lilu was settled there, Lucifer pressed a lingering kiss against his temple. “You’ve had a dreadful day, haven’t you?” (1/2)
