Kai stares at the menu at Chen’s Noodles, as if he is reading a life changing important document. Sklyor glares at him in disbelief.
“Are you going to order,” she finally asks, “or read the menu like a novel?”
Kai hums as he flips through the pages, then slowly looks up at her. She is standing over him, a pot of hot tea in her hand, and annoyance clearly visible on the delicate features of her face.
“I can’t seem to find what I am craving,” Kai says in a low, smooth voice.
Skylor cocks her eyebrow and almost regrets asking, “And what is it you are craving?”
A smoldering hot smile spreads across his face and his eyes are full of warmth.
“You,” he breathes out.
Skylor tries her best to keep her knees from buckling and spilling the hot tea all over the floor. His gaze on her is intense and she is almost certain she can see charisma oozing out of his pores.
“I’ll be right back with your order,” tumbles out of her mouth. She turns quickly, heading to the kitchen, hoping that he didn’t see the bright red blush that is growing across her face.
