I'm a Senior at a university working on my Animal Science - PreVeterinary Medicine degree. I love animals more than people and Tamora Pierce was my all time fav author (100% shaped my childhood guys).

Organic Chemistry- if you don't know what this is, GOOD.

English was never my thing and I swore I would never write anything (I had some bad experiences)! But after reading thousands of stories, I realized I was looking for a story that I was never going to find. I could get close. I could find a character that struck the perfect chord. A plot with exactly the right mix of adventure and romance. Occasionally a strong, relatable, female leader who was still fun and took me away from my daily life. And don't even get me started on the way most writers portray disabilities. It has gotten slightly better as I have learned where to look, but back in high school all I could find were tragic lives full of misery and weak willed, oppressed children whose disabilities ruled their lives and consumed their every thought. Having grown up with my own lovely disability, I have a completely different perspective. It has made me strong and optimistic and freakishly determined. Disabilities be darned. I grew so tired of reading about boys and girls alike being completely cast aside or abused by society for their disabilities, with no will to fight, no hope, and always needing someone to save them. This more than any other factor pushed me to put fingers to keys and finally write the stories I have always wanted to read. These stories are ultimately for me. If they bring joy to your life or take you away from your troubles for a while, then I have accomplished something I never imagined I could. Never forget to enjoy your own internal stories! And if you feel like it, share it someday, because it may speak to the story inside someone else.
