Does anyone know anything about being in foster care? In one of my novels the character is in foster care but I’m not sure how it works exactly. Google isn’t exactly helping and I don’t wanna just reimagine the whole thing and lie about foster care.

I wanna join a book club so bad but they’re so scary  they all give off professional vibes and I feel like I’m gonna be cowering in the corner with my mediocre poetry and strange fantasies.
