@MeganxWeasley Ah, I don't think I'm qualified enough to give advice like this. Honestly, the writing in that story wasn't good at all in my opinion. But if you want some actual advice, I'd say use a variety of words (thesaurus.com was my best friend lol) and use proper grammar. Remember to skip lines (unlike what I did in that fanfic, it's really embarrasing).
