Here's a few I use
1.You can use google to find synonymous words to replace a word you use too often in a chapter
2. Try to alter the style of writing based on the time period of the story
3. Don't overcomplecate the chaptee with too much explanation or too much dialogue, try to balance the two
4. Try yourself at writing in different gernes
5. Read other authors' stories (fanfics and originals) and find things that you like about their writing style, try to implement it in yours
6. When you don't know what to write (A word or a sentence) just write "TK" (meaning "To come") and then after finishing the rest replace "TK" with whatever you want (This is more of a tip to use to write faster)
7. Find inspiration/ideas #Wattpad on tiktok has quite a lot of good stuff on it (Booktok is a great helper at stuff)
Tumblr is a great place for that as well
Basically any social media has something to get you inspired
8. Look back and see your old works, is there something you don't like? Try to improve it
9. Want a bigger word count? Try to use these type of tricks:
"He was tall"
"He stood about 6 feet tall"
Or
"He wore a red scarf"
"A rufous red scarf decorated his neck"
Or
"He looked like he was thinking"
"He seemed to be taken over by his thoughts"
Can easily add a few or more words to your chapter
10. Want to improve writing fight scenes? Look at fight scenes in movies, try to describe everything that you see on the screen. Add more emotions to it. If you see that it's too long and the reader eill get bored just cut some parts out, add small dialogues between the people righting, switch POV's and continue the story after the fight ended and so on
Hope this helped!
