Hi everyone! So sorry it’s been so long
          To anyone still following this account, it honestly means a lot to me
          Work on the original book series I’m working on is going well! I’m getting 2v1’d by procrastination and perfectionism, but we have characters, plot, theme, etc etc
          And I do have a good bit written (though I cannot for the LIFE OF ME) pass the vibe check of chapter one in book one
          To anyone reading this, things could change, but I’m planning on a 6 book series
          A LOT has changed, but there’s a good chunk that will be familiar to some of you
          I’m very excited to be working on it and if anyone is reading this and is excited too, that means the world
          Anyway, have a great day, hopefully my next announcement will be sooner than a year lol (I forgot my password)

Hey gang
          So as you know I haven’t been uploading stories in
          A while
          To be honest the fandom is dying down a bit (a lot) and even the group here has really died down
          It’s definitely changed from 3 years ago, for better or for worse I couldn’t say
          It’s been a wonderful time and I’m really glad I’ve joined
          However, I’ve come to the decision that I will not be uploading chapters any longer
          Could that plan change? Yeah of course
          But it probably won’t because I’m turning the series y’all know into an original book series to publish 
          I’ve already done a lot of work on world setting and plot and everything and I think it’ll be great
          Obviously the characters and plot will be different because it’s gotta be original lol but something tells me there will be elements you recognize if you should choose to read it
          I’ll post updates on the stories as announcements and of course I’ll let y’all know if I post another chapter to the fanfictions on here
          To those who are still interested in my stories, I will answer any and all questions about my fanfictions under this announcement. This means plot, characters, random things, headcanons, etc
          Don’t worry, I’m not gone, but I’ll be here in a different way

          It’ll be from wayyyyyy far in the future of my stories but I feel like posting a chapter without actually writing one

Y’know what irks me a little bit
          On Wattpad you can vote per chapter
          Which as a premise is nice, but it can really skew statistics
          For example, you have a fic with 1.2k votes vs a fic with 320 votes
          You’d assume the former is more well received and therefore better, right?
          But what if the 1.2k fic has 120 chapters while the 320 fic has 17 chapters? That’s 10 votes a chapter vs almost 19 votes a chapter
          The same applies to the number of reads a fic has
          It’s per chapter, not per story, so stories with longer chapters but fewer of them are ultimately hurt, which makes it more profitable to deliver short chapters and have more of them
          Is this about fanfiction and therefore shouldn’t be thought about this deeply? Yeah probably
          But it’s cultivating readers with shorter attention spans because, ultimately, the best way to get your fanfiction noticed is to post a lot of short chapters

Well gang, this is a hard one to say
          
          I want to make it clear that I haven’t come to a decision yet, but I might be leaving the platform. I’m on the fence because of a few things.
          
          For one, I love hanging out here and reading peoples’ stories (when they upload once a blue moon- guilty myself). For another, this is where I met my best friends, so it’s a bit hard to let it go.
          
          However, it’s undeniable that the Regulars fandom has changed, and whether or not it’s changed for the better or worse is in the eye of the beholder. It’s just clear that it’s changed, and I’m still living in the era that it hasn’t. 
          
          Also, it’s come to my attention that Ao3 has taken off as far as Regulars fanfictions, which is great because the writers have really grown, something I’m still not used to (I’m used to the same like, 5 people uploading, not so many new faces). But…
          
          There’s smut. And I’m not saying smut is bad or that you shouldn’t read it or anything like that, but it’s awkward when the writers of it use the creators’ real names and stuff like that. It makes it feel like they’re writing about the actual people instead of the characters, and it’s uncomfortable. That being said, if you don’t find it uncomfortable, no judgement here. Considering one day I want to make real, original stories, I don’t want to be tagged as a writer of that kind of topic simply because I write in a small fandom that has a growing interest in it. 
          
          I’m still not sure what I’ll do, and I’ll let y’all know when I do come to a decision. If I do decide to leave, I’m going to post every unposted chapter I’ve written as a last hurrah. 

Another year another ‘Pancake rewrites the same 3 chapters of LN instead of posting new ones’

Btw I know it was ambiguous in the Chapter but Time and Space aren’t OCs you’ve seen them before
          (I’m talking about that one Scourge of Sadness chapter where Frost was reminiscing 
          You guys probably don’t remember that or don’t care if they’re OCs or not but I Do so there)
