	My name is Stanford Pines. My nicknames include Ford, Fordsie, Sixer, Six-Fingered Freak (I'd prefer it if you didn't use that one), Poindexter, Mr. Braniac, and IQ.

	Yes, I did author the journals.

	Why, you ask?

	My whole life I'd been teased for my six fingers. No sympathy, please. Polydactyly was the name of the condition. 

	 But that got my thinking about anomalies: things that were odd, unusual, statistically improbable. And according to my investigations, there was one place with a higher concentration of these things than anywhere else.

	I knew I'd have to record my findings. I began to keep a journal.

	The biggest mistake of my life was probably working with Bill. Don't worry. I'm through working with that one-eyed demon. Still, I wouldn't mind playing some interdimensional chess again... that was fun.
