Hey y'all! So I'm almost done with my short story! I've just been overthinking and constantly changing things in the story. It's annoying, but hopefully I can have it up this week.

“Oh yeah, dates! the dates. We go on so many that it feels like we’re constantly reliving our first one.
He loves theme parks. Baby, I hate them. Ok, HATE is a strong word. (MJ is working with me on speaking more positively)
I DISLIKE the rollercoasters. Him though? There’s no verbal description to tell you how much he loves them! He always convinces me to get on the SCARIEST rollercoasters! He knows I’m terrified, but it’s always, “You know I’ll protect you, just hold on to me.”
BAAABYYYY, let me tell you! Holding on does nothing when you’re plummeting at 80 miles per hour.
I scream! I cry! I genuinely question my life choices! But this guy? He laughs! Loud, uncontrollable laughter, like my fear is the funniest thing he’s ever seen. Then he calls me a crybaby, scoops me up like I weigh nothing, spins me around, eagerly anticipating the next ride. Hell Naw!
My ideal date, you ask? Well, something softer, intimate, and private. The kind where he knows the owner of a restaurant, and just like that, the whole place is ours. We curl up close to each other, candlelight dancing across his face, making him even more beautiful in the dim glow. We share pasta, feeding each other gently. I have champagne, and he has a glass of orange juice, of course. What's going on in the world on the outside doesn't even matter. It's as if we are the only two people who exist on Earth.
Now back to what I was saying. I value the times that we share, but I can admit that I can be a little hot in the pants. I crave his sloppy kisses, and I treasure the moments when we make love.
However, I've learned that loving him means understanding him, too.”
