I don't know how many of you (if any) are fans of/have played the Mass Effect trilogy, but I'm on my, I wanna say 7th, play through of all three games and I just want to capture this feeling. Those three games tell one of the greatest science fiction stories - no, one the greatest stories in general - ever, in my opinion. The plot, the characters, the emotion...I absolutely love everything about those three games. Especially that each time you play can be different thanks to the customization and choices. They were a big inspiration for all my stories. Anyway, I'm on Mass Effect 3 right now, and I just played through a certain scene that gets me every time and all I can think about is that if I can wrote something that can convey that same kind of emotion, I will have achieved my dream as a writer. To me, the Mass Effect trilogy's level of writing is the goal. I want to write a story that can effect a reader in the same way that story effects me every single time.
Okay, so that got way off track since I started typing this with the goal of listing out my favorite music tracks from the trilogy. They are iconic. They're like Star Wars - the story would never be the same without them. From Mass Effect, there's "Vigil" and "Sovereign's Theme". From Mass Effect 2, there's "Project Lazarus", "The Normandy Reborn", and "Suicide Mission". And from Mass Effect 3, there's "Leaving Earth", "Mordin", "A Future For The Krogan", "Aralakh Company", "I Was Lost Without You", and many more. Basically yeah, if you're into science fiction-esque instrumental music (like I am), the entire trilogy is full of amazing tracks. :)
