Hey y'all!
Today was an amazing day for me and my synchro team. We had a lovely competition, and it was our first competition of the season. We were against six teams, and we didn't really expect anything. However, we did medal. We got BRONZE MEDALS!!! So yes, we podiumed and got third. Now, I know many of you are probably like 'third? First place is what matters!'. Well, for us, third is a big deal. Last year, my team got second last on their first competition and last on their last two. This year was different. We hit it off on the first competition and brought back home a medal. Last year I wasn't with Starlight; I was with the Ice Gems, and though we did better than Starlight, we didn't medal either. So this is my first figure skating medal, and I cannot describe in words how happy and excited I was when my coach put the medal around my neck. I wish Jordan could've done that last year. And now, thank you to all of you who've read my synchro story. What I've always wanted is to inspire others to embrace the unknown and step into adventure, and you reading my story is a way of spreading my message. Thank you to my readers and my followers, for keeping up with this. Thank you, my team Starlight, who did a wonderful performance today. My coach, who coordinated all of this, thank you. And my old team, Ice Gems, if you're reading, thank you. You all were such a supporting team when I first joined, and you were so nice and welcoming, and I really enjoyed my year with you. And lastly, thank you Coach Jordan. I don't know if you're reading or not, however, thank you. Without you, I never would've continued figure skating. I never would've joined Starlight. You are the reason I'm here right now, coming from a competition after winning a bronze medal. Jordan, thank you for everything. You were an amazing coach and my favorite coach, and I loved my time with you on your team. It was amazing. Thank you.
