I apologize for that, I thought that I'd scheduled chapter 20 to be uploaded but it appears wattpad may have glitched out and instead posted the wrong chapter. Chapter 20 + 21 are now uploaded

The Game was an amazing book, its actually difficult to describe how incredible of an experience that was! The level of detail regarding enviroments and actions is not something i find often. It was so immersive and i could feel myself disappearing into this world that you have so beautifully crafted. You have a talet with words and i hope you continue to foster it and grace us with more!

Also question, did you get inspiration from the book 'the forbidden game' by L.J Smith? I read it like 6 years ago and this book reminds me of it!

Thank you for your kind words! As to answer your question, no as I didn't know anything about that book until you mentioned it just now (and I'll add it to my ever-growing collection of TBRs.) The inspiration for 'The Game' comes from various survival horror and RPGmaker titles I grew up with and the plot for the story itself comes when I was drawing what is now the first official character design for Corvin.

Hi StarsandInk! I love The Game so much, it’s been stuck in my head the concept, the execution, all of it! However I wanted to ask if you’d be okay if I wrote a parallel ending to the story? No hate with how you ended the story, I just have an idea on how it could have also ended if you’d be okay with that.

Of course, just so long as it is properly credited/disclosed that it is a fan work of my original work you're good.

Hello Starsandink, you truly are mystical. I've just finished reading two of your work; the game and castle of dolls. The latter, which is my favorite of the two. I really love how you wrote it like a game in mystery case files—at least, that's how it seems to me. So nostalgic!

It's so interesting that everytime I swipe for more I get slightly disappointed I might finish it in a short time. Although, it's a shame to find out it's still ongoing. But overall, I'm glad I gound your account!

I hope you are doing well!

@FruthieYana Thank you, in all honesty, growing up in the golden age of the horror RPGmaker games definitely left its mark on me. <3

I've had more than enough of these damn scam comments appearing on my story thinking I'm gullible enough to fall for their obvious BS. So now I'm going to have to go full bitch mode to put these tapeworms in their places because we can't have nice things.

@StarsandInk They are everywhere, and it isn't pleasant. You run into them all the time. Please stop blowing up my phone; I do not want any insurance, thank you.

PSA and reminder, this isn't regarding to anyone in particular but moreso a general gripe: DO NOT post or link your own work in the comment sections of someone else's story. It looks highly rude on your end and turns people off from it. It's the equivalent of someone promoting their youtube channel on someone else's video's comment section.

If you want to promote your work, that's fine. But don't do it on someone else's unless it's a collab and there's a mutual agreement.
